The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stans offered a heartwarming tribute to late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, praising his humanity and asking fans to donate to Boseman's foundation.

In a video posted to Twitter by the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts, Stan hailed Boseman on what would have been his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star's 46th birthday. Stan spoke to Boseman's legacy, leadership and how he was inspired by the fellow superhero actor. "I've been thinking about Chadwick today and reflecting on the legacy that he's left behind," Stan said. "I was thinking about what a beautiful leader and human being he was and how much he's inspired the world, inspired me, not just through his strength but through his examples of love and empathy."

According to Stan, he thought about a gift that Boseman may have given him, saying Boseman motivated him to always remember the potential he has as a human being, to give back, be honest and inspire others. He then called on Boseman's supporters to donate to the late actor's foundation, which supports the artistic, intellectual and spiritual growth of Black storytellers. "Donate in Chadwick's name remembering the message that he's left behind," he said. "We can do our best to follow in his footsteps and be an example as well."

Stan was one of several actors who showed love to Boseman on his birthday. Fellow Black Panther stars Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o also hailed Boseman with social media posts, while Guardians of the Galaxy actors Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista, as well as Academy Award-winning actor Viola Davis, remembered Boseman on the day.

Wakanda Forever

Known for his role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Stan made a cameo in the post-credits scene of Black Panther. He also featured alongside Boseman in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Following Boseman's death from colon cancer in August 2020, Stan recalled fond memories of working with him and had hoped for another project alongside him before his passing. Stan, who starred in the above-mentioned Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will feature in Marvel's Thunderbolts film that's slated for a July 2024 release.

Boseman's T'Challa/Black Panther was honored throughout Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Wakanda held a special ceremony for him. Additionally, there were callbacks to some of his visuals from the original Black Panther movie in the post-credits scene. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been a major box office success since its Nov. 11 release, netting a worldwide gross of over $678 million at the time of writing. While Boseman unfortunately wasn't around for the sequel, his family was involved in the creative process, according to director Ryan Coogler.
