Guardians of the Galaxy franchise actor Sean Gunn has dropped some hints about his involvement in the untitled Avengers 4 in a new interview. As it turns out, you can probably expect more Kraglin in the film franchise's Phase 4.

Gunn is perhaps best known among MCU fans as the Ravager Kraglin in both Guardians movies, as well as performing the motion capture for the computer-generated character Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper). This dual role means that seeing the actor's name on an upcoming MCU film doesn't necessarily reveal which of his characters will appear.

Rocket had plenty to do in Avengers: Infinity War and Gunn was credited for his role, but Kraglin was nowhere to be seen. James Gunn reassured fans on Twitter that Kraglin's absence was temporary and that he was "off doing something important." The director didn't offer any additional answers about whether Kraglin would would return in Avengers 4 or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020 -- or even another future movie set in the cosmic side of the MCU.

When questioned about Kraglin appearing in Avengers 4, Sean Gunn played it safe. "I cannot confirm nor deny whether I'll be in the next Avengers movie," the actor said. "I did work on it as Rocket, but as for my other character, I think we'll just have to keep watching. I don't think we've seen the last of him, but there's more coming some way."

A fan-favorite character, Kraglin was introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy as a faithful sidekick to Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker), captain of the clan who raised Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) after taking him from Earth as a child. In Vol. 2, Kraglin's role was expanded when his resentment for Quill caused him to question Yondu and accidentally start a mutiny among the Ravagers.

By the end of the movie, Kraglin and Quill had reconciled and presumably parted on peaceful terms after grieving Yondu together. However, when the Guardians appear in Infinity War, Kraglin isn't with them and his name doesn't come up, leaving the audience to speculate on what he's been doing in the four years that have passed for the characters between the two movies.

The yet-titled sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
