Bestselling comic book creator Sean Gordon Murphy has begun to tease an upcoming creator-owned title, the first ensemble comic the creator has drawn.

After completing work on Batman: Curse of the White Knight, Murphy announced he will launch a crowdfunded, creator-owned original graphic novel, but he didn't divulge details about the story itself. While the sneak peek offered a look at the upcoming title's cast and hinted at a superhero-centric premise, no further details have been confirmed.

Murphy created the acclaimed Vertigo Comics miniseries Punk Rock Jesus and co-created a number of creator-owned Image Comics titles, including Chrononauts with Mark Millar and Tokyo Ghost with Rick Remender.

With DC, Murphy created the Batman: White Knight line of comic books, featuring a boldly different vision of Gotham City and its iconic heroes and villains as part of DC's mature readers-oriented publishing imprint DC Black Label. A critical and commercial success, Murphy will be overseeing a line of upcoming comic book titles set in his alternate continuity focused on different Batman supporting characters including Harley Quinn and Nightwing. While no creative teams for the line have been announced, Murphy confirmed he would provide a plot outline for each title, set between volumes of the line's main installments.
