SDCC: Warner Bros. Wants "Argo" Scribe to Write "Justice League"

Deadline has word that Oscar winner Chris Terrio ("Argo") "absolutely crushed" the screenplay, leading the studio to woo him for director Zack Snyder's ensemble follow-up.

Thought to be a priority for Warner Bros. -- the highest, according to Deadline -- "Justice League" will see "Batman v Superman" stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gidot reprise their roles as the Dark Knight, the Man of Steel and Wonder Woman alongside other DC superheroes (long rumored to include Aquaman and Cyborg).

No release date has been announced, but a purported film schedule that surfaced last month has "Justice League" pegged for 2017. Perhaps more information will be revealed Saturday during the studio's Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International.
