Action star Vin Diesel just can't keep himself from teasing his secretive Marvel Studios project.

Late last month the "Fast and the Furious" actor told his Facebook followers the studio had requested a meeting with him, a revelation he followed just last week with a photo of himself standing in front of the cover to "The Avengers" #2. The image alone would've been enough to spark a second round of speculation, but the accompanying message sent fans and movie sites into a frenzy: "Marvel meeting today... Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed... P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!"

Were the clues contained within the post, with the photo suggesting Diesel's involvement in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers 2," and the actor's use of the term "tunnel vision" a sly reference to the Vision, the android some speculated last year could be used as a way to resurrect Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson? Or is he, as some have suggested, destined to play Thanos?

Well, it looks as if we could find out relatively soon.

At this afternoon's Comic-Con International panel for director David Twohy's "Riddick," a fan asked Diesel about the mystery project. "That's the one question I'm not supposed to say anything on," he replied. "I will say there is some very big news coming at the end of this month."

That suggests the announcement won't be made Saturday during Marvel's Hall H presentation, unless of course Diesel is mistaken about the timing.
