Among the reports suggesting that "Planet Hulk" elements would factor into "Thor: Ragnarok," one noted that Hulk would engage in a gladiatorial battle on a "distant planet" at some point in the film -- and this look to confirm that.

In the original "Planet Hulk" storyline, Hulk is banished into space by an elite group of heroes called The Illuminati, consisting of Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man, Professor X, Black Bolt, Namor and Black Panther. Instead of landing on a peaceful planet, as the Illuminati intended, Hulk ends up on the planet Sakaar, a violent world in which gladiators are forced to battle for the emperor, the Red King. Hulk becomes embroiled in a rebellion that ends with him being crowned the new ruler of Sakaar.

While we don't know if Sakaar will feature in "Thor: Ragnarok," Hulk and Thor are confirmed to be taking a trip to some kind of distant planet in the film.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban and Anthony Hopkins, "Thor: Ragnarok" hits theaters November 3, 2017.
