"Supergirl" returned to Comic-Con International in San Diego this year to promote its new season, its first on The CW after moving from CBS following its freshmen run. The cast showed off more than their acting range in an interview with MTV, showing off some serious musical talent while bursting into an improvised song after being asked to recap the first season.
Series lead Melissa Benoist and co-stars Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, Jeremy Jordan and new addition Tyler Hoechlin (who plays Superman in Season 1) sang about being in the "closet of superheroes," and detail how Kara Danvers and her friends slowly learned to share their secrets.
The musically adept cast does not disappoint, especially with Broadway veteran Jordan -- who plays Winn Schott on the series -- pulling most of the improvisational weight. The jingle is nothing but spoilers, so those who are hoping to catch up when The CW re-airs Season 1 in its entirety this August might want to pass. That said, it's perfect for current fans and those on the fence about giving the series a chance, if only because it's another great opportunity for Benoist and her co-stars to warm the far-reaches of your heart.
