SDCC: DreamWorks' 'Trolls' Channels Simon & Garfunkel in Surreal Clip

DreamWorks Animation kicks off Comic-Con International in the trippiest way possible, with a DayGlo-colored clip from its upcoming musical comedy "Trolls."

The scene delivers a bit of Anna Kendrick's Princess Poppy singing "Dream a Little Dream of Me" before shifting to "The Sound of Silence," accompanied by an assortment of glow-in-the-dark flowers, insects and ... whatever some of those other things are.

Directed by Mike Mitchell (“Shrek Forever After”) and Walt Dohrn (“Donkey’s Caroling Christmas-tacular”), the film introduces the overly optimistic Trolls, who enjoy singing and dancing, and the pessimistic Bergens, who love nothing more than to eat the Trolls.

Featuring original music from Justin Timberlake, “Trolls” stars Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop and Gwen Stefani, among others.

The film opens Nov. 4 nationwide.
