What if you had princess powers that would allow you to sing on key, talk to animals or, um, feel a pea through 20 mattresses. Oh, all right, some of those old stories leave a little something to be desired in the "powers" department.

But in "Mega Princess," the new all-ages comic from BOOM! Studios' KaBOOM! imprint, Princess Maxine is imbued with the abilities of every princess on her 10th birthday -- even though what she really wants is to be a detective.

In the series, by "Hawkeye" writer Kelly Thompson and artist Brianne Drouhard Maxine is just as underwhelmed about her new powers as anyone would be. However, she puts them to use when her brother, Prince Robert VI, goes missing.

"Mega Princess" was revealed as part of BOOM! Studios' run-up to Comic-Con International. Previous announcements include Steve Orlando's fantasy family drama "Namesake" and Greg Pak's self-explanatory "Big Trouble in Little China/Escape from New York" crossover.

"Mega Princess" will debut in November.
