At a panel during Comic-Con International: San Diego, AMC announced that "The Walking Dead" will return for its seventh season on Sunday, October 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Following the "Walking Dead" premiere, "Talking Dead" and "Comic Book Men" will debut their new seasons at 10pm and midnight, respectively.

AMC additionally confirmed that Season 7 of "The Walking Dead" will consist of 16 episodes, and air in two parts -- with the first eight episodes launching in October, and the last eight scheduled to begin airing in February 2017.

For audiences who don't have cable, AMC is continuing its partnership with FOX (in 125+ markets across the country) to air each "The Walking Dead" episode within 24 hours of its original broadcast.
