Debuting in 2013, Teen Titans Go! came as something of a surprise to fans of the DC universe. Following up on the success of the fan-favorite Teen Titans animated series, the new iteration of the characters was portrayed as far more silly and subversive. With the voice cast of the original series reprising their roles and finding new layers to their characters in surprising ways, the show has become one of Cartoon Network's most consistent hits for almost a decade now -- even producing multiple films, including the theatrically released Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.

Currently in its seventh season and approaching 400 episodes (including the upcoming episode featuring a guest appearance by Zack Snyder) in an upcoming eighth season, the series is still going strong, with hints of a potential spin-off focusing on the beloved "The Night Begins to Shine" version of the show. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Teen Titans Go! Director/Producer Peter Michail, along with Tara Strong (Raven) and Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), visited the CBR Media Room to discuss the show's ability to venture into all sorts of genres and styles of comedy, the importance of balancing exciting action with good humor, and the role that music has played in the series.

The first six seasons of Teen Titans Go! are available on HBO Max. New episodes return to Cartoon Network in August.
