Marvel Studios may be sitting out this year's San Diego Comic-Con International, but Marvel Television looks set to make quite a splash.
Deadline is reporting that Marvel and Netflix are set to bring Iron Fist to Comic-Con this year to promote the show's upcoming season. While still unconfirmed for the time being, it's also entirely possible both The Punisher and Daredevil will join Iron Fist with panels of their own to promote both shows' forthcoming seasons.
Finn Jones is confirmed to appear at the convention this year, along with Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb and a few of his co-stars, although a confirmed list of cast members attending has yet to be unveiled. The first season of Iron Fist was viewed as a massive misfire for the Netflix corner of the Marvel Universe. It was announced in July of last year that the show's second season would receive a new showrunner in Elektra scribe Raven Metzner
Filming on the second season wrapped recently, and, while a release date has yet to be revealed, Loeb has confirmed Season 2 is coming sometime this year. Jones, of course, is also set to appear in the second season of Luke Cage, which will hit the streaming service this Friday.
Filming also recently wrapped on the third season of Daredevil, as well as Season 2 of The Punisher. Neither show is confirmed to attend Comic-Con International this year, but Deadline is reporting that talks are underway to bring both series to the convention. In the case of The Punisher, star Jon Bernthal is more than likely already going to be in attendance for The Walking Dead following his surprise return for Season 9. As for Daredevil, discussions are underway, but it's not entirely clear if the series will make an appearance alongside its fellow Netflix shows.
Iron Fist Season 2 stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, Sacha Dawan, Simone Missick and Rosario Dawson.
