San Diego Comic Con starts next Wednesday. NEXT WEDNESDAY. So catch on your sleep before then. But before you tuck yourself in, drop me an email and let me know what you have going on at the con, so I can post it right here.

I've got a lot of stuff in my in-box, so expect these updates to become a little more frequent between now and next week.

Free T-shirts | Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth will be giving away 50 T-shirts for Stumptown, their long-awaited series from Oni that was announced, I think, two years ago at the con. They'll be giving them away at the Oni panel on Thursday.

Autographs | The SDCC has released their official auotgraph area schedule, which includes signings by James Jean, Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, Adam West, Hope Larson, Thomas Jane, the Honky Tonk Man and many more.

Anime | The con folks have also posted the schedule for anime screenings, which they'll be showing late into the night.

Creators | VIZ will welcome Stan Lee and Hiroyuki Takei at the Shonen Jump panel to their booth for an autograph session on Friday. MangaBlog has the complete press release.

Creators | Several artists have posted this week about the sketchbooks they'll have at the show. Artist Steve Epting will have a sketchbook and a limited edition Captain America lithograph. Humberto Ramos will have copies of the hardcover Ramos Art-N-Out. Both Josh Howard and Stan Sakai will have sketchbooks as well.

Creators | And lots of folks have posted where you can find them at the show: Kurt Busiek, Colleen Coover, Jeff Lemire, Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba, Cliff Chiang, Roger Langridge, Sean Galloway, Becky Cloonan and Matt Kindt.

Breaking in | SLG Publishing's Jennifer de Guzman has a list of questions aspiring creators should know the answer to before they start pitching to editors at the con.

Publishers | Speaking of SLG, they've posted their booth signing schedule as a PDF.

Organizations | The Hero Initiative has released their plans for the show, which include the release of Hero Comics, cocktail parties with Jim Lee and Darwyn Cooke, and a visit with Stan Lee on the Comic Book Resources yacht.

Booths | Twentieth Century Fox will have a life-size Hugh Jackman Wolverine made of wax at their booth, #4129. It will eventually live at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

Offsite events | BOOM! will host their annual "drink up" at the Manchester Hyatt Grand Lobby Bar starting at 9 p.m. the Thursday of the con.

Flashback | James Owen shares a Comic-Con programming schedule from 1986, which included a spotlight on Jack Kirby and a panel on Cannon Pictures' big "Spiderman" film with director Joe Zito. (Via)
