Screen Junkies pick apart 2005's "Fantastic Four" and its sequel just in time for the team's latest incarnation to hit theaters this week.

2005's "Fantastic Four" and its followup film, "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," are widely considered to be critical flops. Considering that, Screen Junkies went back and watched both movies to pinpoint just why they failed in the eyes of both the critics and the fans.

Directed by Josh Trank and starring Miles Teller (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Kate Mara (Susan Storm/Invisible Woman), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm/Human Torch) and Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm/The Thing), the latest "Fantastic Four" film opens on Aug. 7.
