Original Scream veterans Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette are already returning to the horror franchise's fourth outing, but as the movie is seen as a "passing of the baton" to a new generation of slasher victims, they're going to need a whole slew of new actors to join them.
Well, it appears that casting is most certainly on the way as offers have been made to Ashley Greene (Twilight), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) and Rory Culkin (Twelve), while Lake Bell (It's Complicated) is already in negotiations to join the film.
If hired, Greene would star as Jill, Sidney Prescott's cousin and "essentially the heroin of the movie." Panettiere would play Jill's best friend, a nerdy film geek, while Culkin would pose a potential love interest for Jill. Bell is in negotiations to star as a police officer and former high school classmate of Prescott's.
Scream 4, called Scre4m on the first released poster, comes from returning director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson. The film is eying an April 15, 2011 release.
