IDW announced a slate of nine new original series coming from creators like Scott Snyder, G. Willow Wilson, John Ridley, Stephen Graham Jones and more.

IDW's new slate kicks off this summer with Snyder's Dark Spaces: Wildfire. The nine new projects are meant to reflect a wide selection of genres, including crime thriller, supernatural horror, science fiction, epic fantasy and more. "A year ago we gave ourselves a mission: to make IDW the destination for premier talent and rising stars," IDW's Originals editorial division director Mark Doyle said. "This is an unprecedented moment in IDW’s history, and there’s been a tremendous team effort from our creative and editorial teams and everyone at the company to develop a stellar slate of original stories—and we’re having a blast doing it!"

In addition to publishing plans, IDW said that it will be developing these properties for film, television and other entertainment mediums. Dark Spaces: Wildfire launches first in July. From there, IDW will publish new original projects on a monthly basis.
