Next year will see DC Comics taking a giant leap forward with the DC Future State storyline, which brings new takes on its heroes including Batman and Superman. However, before Future State launches, the current DC event miniseries Dark Nights: Death Metal will wrap up its run.

Death Metal writer Scott Snyder announced on Twitter that the final wave of Death Metal books will close out of the month of December, starting next week. "Will post more soon, but next week starts the final wave of DEATH METAL books. I'm deeply, deeply proud of these & grateful to ALL involved," Snyder wrote.
