With Avengers: Infinity War currently dominating the box office, a classic debate among comic book fans has seemingly resurfaced: Who would win in a fight -- Marvel's Thanos or DC Comics' Darkseid? However, according to longtime Batman writer Scott Snyder, it's apparently the Dark Knight who would ultimately come out victorious in the skirmish between the Mad Titan and the Apokoliptian New God.When a fan posed the question regarding Thanos vs. Darkseid to Snyder on Twitter, Snyder didn't shy away from wearing his love of the Caped Crusader on his sleeve, responding by simply stating, "Batman," despite his name not being included anywhere in the original inquiry.

Of course, this response hardly comes as surprise from Snyder. After all, this is the same writer who brought the classic "Batman Always Wins" meme into DCU canon in the final issue of Dark Nights: Metal, which featured art by Snyder's longtime Batman collaborator Greg Capullo.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin. The film is now in theaters nationwide.
