In addition to his work on Batman and Justice League, writer Scott Snyder is known for American Vampire with Rafael Albuquerque and Wytches with Jock. Although he's been hard at work for DC, Snyder has now revealed when fans can expect to see the two horror comics return.
Snyder said on Twitter that he and Albuquerque are aiming to release the next chapter of American Vampire in celebration of the series' 10th anniversary in 2020. He revealed that the story they're working on will take place in 1976, during the bicentennial in Las Vegas. In a subsequent tweet, Snyder explained that he and Jock were aiming to work on Wytches when they finish The Batman Who Laughs.
Also, for those asking, we are definitely bringing back American Vampire as well. 2020 Marks the 10th anniversary and we figured that would be a good time to release the next big chapter. Takes place in 1976, the bicentennial... Vegas— Scott Snyder (@Ssnyder1835) March 17, 2019

American Vampire primarily tells the stories of Skinner Sweet, an outlaw from the Wild West that was turned into a vampire with some very special powers, and Pearl Jones, an actress from '20s-era Hollywood. The comic earned Snyder, Albuquerque and collaborator Stephen King an Eisner Award and a Harvey Award for Best New Series in 2011.
Snyder and Jock created Wytches for Image Comics in 2014. It tells the story of a family who moves to a town after a girl who bullied their daughter disappears. However, they soon find the horrors of the new town are even worse than what they ran from.
Scott Snyder and Jock's The Batman Who Laughs #4 goes on sale April 10.
