The Expanded Edition of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World's beloved soundtrack is officially slated for release next month. What's more, one of the Expanded Edition's new inclusions -- Brie Larson's performance of "Black Sheep" by Metric -- has dropped early, and is streaming now on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music."On July 9, the Scott Pilgrim Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Expanded Edition will be available on all digital music services!" Scott Pilgrim vs. the World director Edgar Wright announced on Twitter. "It includes demos from Beck and more music from the film including Brie Larson's performance of 'Black Sheep.' The original version of the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack was released on Aug. 10, 2010 -- shortly before the film itself hit theaters on Aug. 13. The soundtrack includes numerous songs from the film (which is based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's series of Scott Pilgrim graphic novels), including tracks by in-universe bands like Sex Bob-Omb and Crash and the Boys. Notably, all of Sex Bob-Omb's songs were actually written by award-winning musician Beck, whom the fictional band's musical style is based on.

One particularly memorable musical number from the film involves the song "Black Sheep" by Metric, which Brie Larson performs as her character, Envy Adams, lead singer of The Clash at Demonhead. While Metric's original version of "Black Sheep" (featuring vocals by songwriter Emily Haines) did make its way onto the original Scott Pilgrim soundtrack, Larson's rendition was excluded from the album and has never been released in its entirety -- until now.
