It seems like everyone is talking about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World these days. That is probably surprising to some since the film is about a decade old. However, that's the main reason it is being brought up again. To celebrate that tenth anniversary, the cast (most of them) recently reunited to do a table read for charity.

Looking at that cast, you realize that it is an impressive collection of talent. Not only that but they've gone on to star in other comic book movies and TV shows. There are only about five cast members to not do other projects in the genre. Even director Edgar Wright played a major part in 2015's Ant-Man. It's the ultimate comic book cast.

11 Nelson Franklin

Nelson Franklin is kind of "that guy" who is in everything. You may not know him as a household name but one look at him will probably jog your memory. In Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, he played Michael Comeau, a guy Scott talks to at a party who knows everyone.

Franklin's most known for his work on New Girl and Veep. He appeared in an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back in 2015 as a character named Steve Wilson. He then added another MCU credit to his name for his small role as a medical examiner in Captain Marvel.

10 Ben Lewis

Thre's a good chance that you don't even recognize Ben Lewis from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. He has a pretty small part compared to most of the list. Lewis took on the role of "Other Scott," the "fairly gay" best friend of Wallace Wells.

His name has become much more known for his role as William Clayton on the final two seasons of CW's Arrow. Lewis was outspoken in criticizing the MCU for the lack of LGBTQ representation. Lewis is openly gay and his Arrow character was written to be gay at his request.

9 Jason Schwartzman

This might be the most surprising entry on the list when you think about it. Jason Schwartzman portrayed the film's main villain, Gideon Graves. He was Ramona's seventh and final evil ex and organized the entire "League of Evil Exes."

The actor and screenwriter has seemingly appeared in everything. That includes Moonrise KingdomBored to Death, and more. His comic appearance was one of the lesser-known. He showed up as himself in a single episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in 1998. For those unaware, Sabrina is from Archie Comics.

8 Thomas Jane

If you haven't seen Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in a long time, you might not recall that Thomas Jane was even part of it. He made a small appearance as one member of the Vegan Police who comes to confront Todd Ingram, alongside actor Clifton Collins Jr.

Thomas Jane is pretty much the ultimate veteran actor. He's starred in Deep Blue SeaThe Mist, and HBO's Hung. However, many fans would probably most know who he is from his turn as Frank Castle in 2004's The Punisher. He didn't reprise the role for the sequel.

7 Mae Whitman

There aren't many actors in Hollywood with more credits to their name by the time they turned 30 than Mae Whitman. One of those was clearly Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, where she played one of Ramona's evil exes, Roxy Richter. Otherwise, she is known for things like Good Girls and Parenthood.

However, the reason Whitman's filmography is so long is due to her vast number of voice acting credits. There are several related to DC Comics. That includes playing Wonder Girl in Young Justice, Batgirl in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Lois Lane in Superman: The Animated Series.

6 Michael Cera

It's the titular character in the film. Michael Cera, who broke out on both Arrested Development and Superbad, took on the lead role of Scott Pilgrim. Although this is easily his biggest comic book role, he has played a surprisingly iconic hero elsewhere.

In 2017, Michael Cera voiced the role of Dick Grayson, better known as Robin, in The Lego Batman Movie. He was the first actor to play the character in a film in about two decades. Fans are still eagerly anticipating Cera's next comic book role if it ever happens.

5 Mary Elizabeth Winstead

For the most part, Mary Elizabeth Winstead had avoided comic book films outside of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Like her fellow lead Michael Cera, she was finding success in roles all over the place like Death Proof and 10 Cloverfield Lane, just not in the genre.

Winstead, who plays Ramona Flowers, finally changed that in 2020. She shined as Helena Bertinelli, a.k.a. The Huntress, in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The combination of being tough but also socially awkward was nailed by Winstead.

4 Aubrey Plaza

In a film with so many standout supporting characters, it can be difficult to rank as the most memorable. However, Aubrey Plaza mostly manages to do that as Julie Powers, a girl who constantly bombards Scott and has a hilarious gimmick involving her swear words being bleeped.

Like a lot of actors, it was only within the past few years that Aubrey Plaza found herself drawn back into the world of comic book roles. She has played Lenny Busker and Amahl Farouk/Shadow King in FX's Legion series, which revolves around Marvel mutants.

3 Brandon Routh

Not many actors have played multiple roles for the same comic book universe. Brandon Routh has, though. First, his Scott Pilgrim vs. The World role was that of Todd Ingram, one of Ramona's evil exes, who has special abilities because he's a vegan.

In 2006, Routh landed the role of a lifetime as Clark Kent/Superman in Superman Returns. Sadly, he wouldn't get to reprise the role again until the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" arc in the Arrowverse. What made this cool was that Routh was already in the Arrowverse as Ray Palmer/The Atom, starring in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

2 Brie Larson

When audiences saw her in 2010, Brie Larson had something of a breakout role in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. In fact, Edgar Wright noted that the 18-year-old blew everyone away at her audition for Envy Adams, Scott's ex-girlfriend. Larson has gone on to have a wildly successful career.

She earned a Best Actress Academy Award victory for her turn in Room. Then, she went on to nab the biggest role of her career, playing Carol Danversin the MCU. That allowed her to helm a $1 billion hit in Captain Marvel and be part of the highest-grossing movie ever, Avengers: Endgame.

1 Chris Evans

Chris Evans is arguably the most prolific comic book actor on the planet. There's his role as movie superstar Lucas Lee, one of Ramona's evil exes, in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but that wasn't the first time he stepped into a comic book role. In fact, it wasn't even the first time in 2010.

For starters, Evans played Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the two Fantastic Four films from the mid-2000s. Then, April of 2010 saw the release of The Losers, where Evans played William Jensen. Of course, his biggest claim to fame is as Steve Rogers/Captain America in the MCU.
