'Scooby-Doo's' Mystery Machine leads police in high-speed chase

A California woman led police on a chase Sunday afternoon while driving a minivan painted to look like the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo. She would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling -- no, wait, she's still at large.

KRCR reports that officers in Redding, California, attempted to stop Sharon Kay Turman for a probation violation when the 51-year-old woman allegedly took off in her teal-and-green 1994 Chrysler minivan. At one point during the chase, which we can only hope was set to the tune of "Pretty Mary Sunlight," police say Turman drove through a red light, hitting four vehicles.

The Mystery Machine reportedly reached speeds exceeding 100 mph before Turman abandoned the vehicle, presumably in search of more Scooby Snacks.

Turman's whereabouts are unknown. However, if and when she is apprehended it's a safe bet she'll be revealed to be someone else -- I'm going with Stuart Wetherby -- in disguise.
