The first song from the upcoming musical Scooby-Doo And The Lost City of Gold has been released.

In a short teaser video, the original members of the Mystery Gang assemble the mystery machine piece by piece and sing the original song "Do The Scooby-Doo!" with sing-a-long lyrics featured on screen. The stage design includes a backdrop of a small town and the gang dances around in their original costumes from the show's very first iteration in 1969 created by Hanna-Barbera. Fred Jones takes the singing spotlight but every character gets their chance for a short solo. Scooby himself is represented in mascot form.

Musical creators Ella Louise Allaire & Martin Lord Ferguson of MONLOVE (Ice Age Live, The Nut Job & Friends Live) have worked within COVID regulations to bring North American audiences this live stage spectacular since March of this year when the COVID-19 outbreak first hit.

The enduring children's mystery series has gone through numerous iterations over the last 50 years with only a few projects incorporating elements of musical theatre. Among other Scooby-themed projects, there has been talk of fans wanting a Ghoul School spinoff series for Cartoon Network.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions in different states and countries on the tour, dates have been postponed to April 2021 at the earliest. More info on the musical can be found here.
