The upcoming Scooby-Doo animated film, Scoobhas added two new cast members: Mark Wahlberg and Jason Issacs.

Wahlberg will be providing the voice for the popular Hanna-Barbera superhero, Blue Falcon, who, in the past has teamed up with Scooby-Doo and the gang. Blue Falcon's sidekick, the crime-fighting canine Dynomutt, will also appear in Scoob. Dynomutt, voiced by Ken Jeong.

Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter film serieswill play the villain, Dick Dastardly. The moustachioed villain is rumored to be the main baddie in Scoob. Fans may remember Dick Dastardly from Hanna-Barbera cartoons such as Wacky Races and the spinoff, Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines.

The cast for Scoob is already set to feature Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman) and Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo). The script was written by Kelly Freemon Craig and Matt Lieberman.

Mark Walhberg has been nominated for two Best Picture Oscars for his performances in The Fighter and The Departed. Jason Issacs was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role on the BBC miniseries, The State Within.

Directed by Tony Cervone with a story by Jack Donaldson and Derek Elliott, Scoob is slated for release May 2020.
