Scoob! follows Mystery Inc. as they try to prevent Cerberus from being unleashed upon the world, in doing so, they also discover that Scooby-Doo has a destiny greater than anything they had ever thought. The plot also sees Mystery Inc. team up with a number of classic Hanna-Barbera characters, including the Blue Falcon, Dynomutt and Captain Caveman, essentially setting up a Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe.

Lillard originally played Shaggy in the early 2000's live-action films Scooby-Doo: The Movie and its sequel, Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed. While they received mostly negative reviews, his performance was praised by franchise fans. This eventually led to him being cast as the new voice for Shaggy, following the retirement of original voice actor Casey Kasem. Lillard's tenure began with the acclaimed TV reboot Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated and has continued into the present day.

Scoob! is directed by Tony Cervone and stars the voices of Frank Welker, Zac Efron, Gina Rodriguez, Will Forte, Amanda Seyfried, Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs. The film is available now on digital home video services.
