Scoob!, which was recently delayed indefinitely by Warner Bros. due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, will now skip theaters altogether and head straight to video on demand.

"While we’re all eager to be able to once again show our films in theaters, we’re navigating new, unprecedented times which call for creative thinking and adaptability in how we distribute our content," Warner Bros. Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff said. "We know fans are eager to see Scoob! and we’re delighted we can deliver this feel-good movie for families to enjoy while they’re home together."

Beginning May 15 -- the film's original theatrical release date -- Scoob! will be available to rent digitally for 48 hours for $19.99 USD. This follows Universal Pictures making a similar move with Trolls World Tour, which earned $40-50 million domestic during its "opening weekend." It's also said any necessary ADR "could easily be administered by an actor over an iPhone."

Directed by Tony Cervone, Scoob! stars the voices of Frank Welker, Zac Efron, Gina Rodriguez, Will Forte, Amanda Seyfried, Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs. The film arrives on VOD May 15.
