Wolverine's arch nemesis Sabretooth might just be headed to "Wolverine 3," which will be Hugh Jackman's last ride as the clawed mutant. Liev Schrieber, who starred as Sabretooth in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," revealed his interest in reprising the role -- especially if it follows one particular storyline.

Referring to his previous conversations with Jackman, Schreiber told MTV News, "We talked about it... I don't know. He's mentioned it to me. The 'Old Man Logan' story -- that's appealing. That's something that I can do. Old, being the operative word."

In an earlier interview, he also joked about "Old Man Logan," saying, "I heard that the storyline is 'Old Man Logan.' And when I heard that, I thought, 'Well, you know there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth... the two of us with walkers."

Rumors that Jackman's last "Wolverine" film will be based on the "Old Man Logan" storyline by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven have circulated since last summer. It is unclear how much inside knowledge Schrieber has about the project, as he has not officially been invited back to the franchise.

Patrick Stewart, who has played Professor X since 2000's "X-Men," also announced he would appear in "Wolverine 3" last August.

Starring Jackman and Stewart, "Wolverine 3" is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017.
