The mansion that served as the home for the Rose family in Schitt's Creek recently hit the market.

According to tweets sent by journalist Amanda Mull, the luxurious mansion is for sale in Toronto, Ontario for $12.86 million (16.8 CAD). Mull initially posted images of the mansion and jokingly asked, "Who are these people who wanna live in casino lobbies." She followed up that post with a picture of the Rose family standing in the mansion's grand entry way and the caption, "LOL oh my god IT’S THE SCHITT’S CREEK MANSION."

Better known as the "La Belle Mansion," the 24,000-square-foot house is modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France and is located on 30 Fifeshire Road. The mansion holds 14 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a home theater, billiard room, wine cellar and two pools. It also boasts a massive formal entry with a domed ceiling, frescoes and ceiling motifs, as well as a marble staircase. The mansion was last listed for 21.78 million CAD in August 2018, after an increase from 19.8 million CAD.

The interior of the La Belle Mansion first appeared in the Season 1 trailer for Schitt's Creek, but a different building was used for the outside shot. While the Roses lived in the mansion in the debut episode of the series, it was soon revealed that the family was broke. They were ultimately forced to to pack up their belongings and move to the titular Schitt's Creek -- a tiny town that Johnny (Eugene Levy) bought David (Dan Levy) as a joke when he was a kid.

The news of La Belle Mansion hitting the market comes nearly two months after it was announced that the owner of the motel used as the Rosebud Motel in all six seasons of Schitt's Creek was also being sold. The motel is located in Orangeville, Ontario -- 54 miles away from Ontario’s capital city of Toronto -- and is comprised of eight apartment-style rooms and a three-bedroom unit.

It was also famously featured in the 2016 James Franco-led mini-series 11.22.63 and the hit Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, and housed NBA stars Jamal Murray and Kyle Alexander before they were signed to professional teams.

Schitt’s Creek starred Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy, Annie Murphy, Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson and Sarah Levy. The show ended in April of this year after six seasons and set a record at the 2020 Emmy Awards by becoming the first comedy series to take home nine awards in a single night. All six seasons are streaming now on Netflix and CW Seed.
