Were you aware that Scarlett Johansson has a new band? Once called The Singles (they got into trouble for that name), Johansson and her crew — Holly Miranda, Julia Haltigan and Kendra Morris — have reemerged with a new name, Sugar for Sugar.

The group is featured on the upcoming charity cover album "The Time Is Now" performing New Order's 1986 synthpop classic "Bizarre Love Triangle."  The album will also include covers of other popular '80s acts (Phil Collins, Devo, Duran Duran, to name a few) performed by such artists as Phantogram, Brazilian Girls and Bebel Gilberto.

Sugar for Sugar's contribution is a by-the-numbers adaptation of the original, with a hearty dose of modernized synths and audio production sensibilities. You'll have to judge for yourself how it compares to the classic.

Proceeds from this compilation will benefit amfAR, The Foundation For AIDS Research, which has invested more than $450 million into HIV/AIDS-related causes in its 25-year history and continues to fund research into new treatments vaccines, and preventative strategies for the disease.

"The Time Is Now," was produced as a collaborative effort between Republic Records and Mass Appeal Records. Debuting Oct. 7, it's available for preorder on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.
