Scarlet Witch almost sported a much different costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following her debut in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, and a new hi-res image offers a closer look at what might have been.

The image comes from the Instagram of concept artist Andy Park, who notes that the costume briefly appeared at the end of Age of Ultron. Park added that he collaborated with concept artist Jack Dudman and costume designer Alexandra Byrne on the look.

Although the costume briefly appeared in Age of Ultron, Olsen sported a different look when she returned in Captain America: Civil War. Costume designer Judianna Makovsky explained the change to Vulture in 2016, saying: "In the beginning we did have sketches generated from Marvel where Wanda looked more superhero, and the brothers kept saying, ‘But she’s not a superhero yet. She’s still finding herself, she’s a young girl.’ So they asked me to take those sketches and redo it, to make it a real coat, make it wearable. We wanted to make them look like real garments."

Olsen will don a different costume for Infinity War, so it seems unlikely that the version from the end of Age of Ultron will reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe any time soon.
