NBCUniversal has released the first teaser trailer for the Saved By The Bell reboot debuting on the Peacock streaming service.
The teaser reintroduces fans to AC Slater (Mario Lopez) and Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), along with newcomers to Bayside High School. Absent from the 54-second trailer are Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), though they are represented by their son, Mac Morris (Mitchell Hoog).
We also get a look at The Max diner, some of the new technological innovations at Bayside -- it's now 99% paperless, meaning all textbooks have to be downloaded on digital devices -- and Slater's new role as a Bayside gym teacher.
Tracy Wigfield will serve as executive producer, showrunner and writer for the Saved By the Bell continuation, with original cast members Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley. The reboot will star Josie Totah, Mitchell Hoog, Belmont Cameli, Haskiri Velasquez, Alycia Pascual-Pena and John Michael Higgins, who takes over for Dennis Haskins as Bayside High's principal. The series will head to NBC's Peacock streaming service after its official launch in April.
