Taika Waititi teased the release of the upcoming short film, Save Ralph, by sharing the first poster for the project -- that aims to educate audiences on the evils of animal testing."This is a cool thing that is coming soon," Waititi captioned the poster on Twitter. "If you don't watch it and love it then you hate animals and we can't be friends anymore." The poster itself features the titular bunny rabbit Ralph, who is injured and bruised from animal testing.RELATED: My Comic Shop Country Documentary Comes to CuriosityStream

Waititi voices the character of Ralph in the stop-motion short film, which is being released as part of the #SaveRalph campaign to raise awareness about the cruelty of testing cosmetics on animals. The Thor 4 director will also be co-starring with comedian Ricky Gervais, Olivia Munn, Zac Efron and Pom Klementieff.

Gervais posted his excitement for the upcoming short on Twitter, stating, "So proud to be part of this short film to help end animal testing." Co-star Pom Klementieff posted on Instagram, "You can watch this beautiful short movie #SaveRalph on @spencersusser's Instagram!"

Save Ralph's trailer dropped last week on the Humane Society of the United States' YouTube page. In the clip, Ralph looks at the camera and explains, "Alright so, my name's Ralph. I'm a rabbit as you can see. I'm blind in one eye." The rabbit then gestures to his bandaged ear and adds, "And this ear, can't hear nothing but ringing now!"

Written and directed by Spencer Susser, Save Ralph features the voices of Taika Waititi, Ricky Gervais, Zac Efron, Olivia Munn, Pom Klementieff, Tricia Helfer and Rodrigo Santoro. The film will be released by Humane Society International on April 6.
