The 1995 animated series Savage Dragon is now available to stream, thanks to NBC Universal.

NBC Universal's free streaming platform, Peacock TV, now offers the entire Savage Dragon series without purchase or a premium Peacock membership. The television series, which originally aired on the USA Network and is based on the comic of the same name, follows an amnesiac police officer who is also a freakishly strong green dragon.

The humanoid's origin story is largely a mystery and his job involves fighting mutant gang-members of the Vicious Circle lead by Overlord in the crime-ridden streets of Chicago, Illinois. Kurr Dragon's later adventures in the comic series include joining the S.O.S squad after being asked by the United States government and being transported to a dystopian realm to kill Damian Darklord when the series changes to a Jack Kirby-inspired wasteland.

Savage Dragon creator Erik Larsen began drawing the character as a child and later published the first issue of Savage Dragon with Image Comics in 1992. Larsen's series is considered one of the longest running full-color comic books by a single artist along with Spawn. Unfortunately, the show had minor success in comparison to Larsen's comics. In spite of this, there has been some demand among fans for a live-action adaptation. The animated series ran for two seasons with 26 episodes total.
