WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Savage Avengers #16 by Gerry Duggan, Patch Zircher, Java Tartaglia, and VC's Travis Lanham, on sale now.

The Savage Avengers have been busy defending the world from an ancient and evil sorcerer named Kulan Gath, crossing the globe back and forth to put an end to his clandestine reign of terror. In order to attack their enemy on two fronts, the team split, with half heading to Mexico to deal with the cartels that Kulan Gath had been taking over.

The rest of the team has gone to Bruges, to negotiate the release of a powerful amulet into their possession from the Asgardian dragon Sadurang. Of course, the Savage Avengers aren't great with diplomacy, but they're great when it comes to breaking things, or people, as Savage Avengers #16 proves.

After making an unforgettable entrance, the Savage Avengers are locked in brutal combat with their quarry. Sadurang's human form might not seem like much, but his true, towering dragon body is a sight to behold. Magik uses her portals to redirect Sadurang's flames back at him, giving Juggernaut the opening for a devastating tackle. This still doesn't topple the giant, so Conan flies in on Black Knight's pegasus to loosen one of the dragon's scales with his sword. It isn't much, but it's enough to let Magik sink her Soulsword into Sadurang's flesh, forcing him back into his much more manageable human shape.

Their foe defeated, the Savage Avengers and Sadurang are all ready for the killing blow to be struck, but Magik finds a kindred spirit in the dragon, one who just wants to rest. This gives her a better idea, and so she whisks the entire group away to Limbo. Here, Sadurang can nap for as long as he'd like without the worry of any human, or superhuman interference. Glad to be free from pursuers, the dragon gifts the Savage Avengers the amulet they'd come looking for, and asks if Magik will come to bring him home after some unspecified amount of time. She doesn't give him the most reassuring of answers, but enough of one that their conversation is comfortably over, and the team heads back to Earth to deliver their prize.

It might seem like a tidy finish to a thrilling adventure, but the Savage Avengers have left Bruges worse than it was before they arrived. The town was already suffering from dragon attacks, but between the Juggernaut's impact and the collateral damage from the brawl, it's now in utter shambles. You'd think with all his time working for Damage Control that Cain Marko would at least offer a helping hand in cleaning up the mess he's been part of making, but the new Frightful Four disappear without a word, leaving a single old woman to start sweeping the rubble. They're certainly effective, but the Savage Avengers are also quite possibly the most destructive super team in the Marvel Universe.
