SPOILER WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for the mid-season debut of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."


The Legion of Doom used the Spear of Destiny was used to turn Rip Hunter — a Brit from the 22nd Century — into an American film student in the year 1967. However, the aberration caused by this change drew the Legends straight to him, and now they’ll do whatever they can to get their Rip Hunter back

But when the team's mission goes bad, Sara blames herself of the team leaving the Rip behind, and nothing Jefferson can say will convince her that the mission was actually a win. After all, the Legends managed to keep to major artifacts out of the hands of the Legion of Doom, right?

When Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) try to capture Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) in 1967, they create an Aberration big enough to draw the attention of the Legends. However, when the team arrives they discover that Rip has no memories of his past due to “time drift” and is just a graduate film student.

After trying to convince Rip of who he was, they discover that he possesses an incredibly powerful artifact known as the Spear of Destiny, which the Legion of Doom is after. Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano) realize that the Aberration has also affected them personally making it difficult to help the team. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) asks Stein (Victor Garber) for help and makes him promise to keep it a secret from the team.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
