Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogan's new Christmas series, Santa Inc. has received a red band trailer, putting a naughty twist on classic tropes, with a foul-mouthed clay elf and some nudity in the North Pole.HBO Max dropped the trailer in time for Thanksgiving, showcasing Santa Inc. and its no holds barred jabs at the real world. The series follows Candy Smalls, played by Silverman, who wants to take over Santa's position and become the first non-white male Santa.
Santa Inc. consists of eight half-hour episodes. Aside from Silverman and Rogen, who plays Santa himself, the show features the voice talents of Craig Robinson as Junior, Gabourey Sidibe as Goldie, Leslie Grossman as Cookie, Nicholas Braun as Devin, Maria Bamford as Big Candy and Joel Kim Booster as Jingle Jim.
The HBO Max series is written by showrunner Alexandra Rushfield and directed by Harry Chaskin with Silverman and Rogen serving as executive producers alongside Amy Zvi, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Point Grey Pictures' Joshua Fagen, Rosa Tran, Seth Green, John Harvatine IV, Matthew Senreich, Eric Towner, and Chris Waters.
Santa Inc. is set to premiere on HBO Max on Dec. 2.
