"San Andreas" director Brad Peyton is in talks to reunite with Dwayne Johnson for "Rampage," New Line Cinema's adaptation of the 1980s arcade game.

Released in 1986 by Bally Midway, “Rampage” allowed players to control three giant monsters — a gorilla, a lizard and a werewolf, all created from mutated humans — as they destroyed buildings and ate people in cities across North America. Deadline reports the movie's script, by "Non-Stop" writer Ryan Engle, will of course place Johnson in the monsters' path.

Beau Flynn, who worked with Peyton and Johnson on "San Andreas" as well as "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," is set to produce.
