As a commanding agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury's work is never done. Actor Samuel L. Jackson, who will be reprising the role of Fury for the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, can apparently sympathize.

Jackson posted a selfie on his Instagram that shows him holding the trademark eye patch that he wears as Fury and looking none too happy, along with the remark, "Just when you think you have a day off... this happens!"

Jackson has played the tough-as-nails agent across many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he made it clear with his hashtags, including #spidermanfarfromhome and #reshootsorenhancementshots, that this time the job he's referring to is the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

Nick Fury will be supporting the young hero Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, to fill in the apparent gap left by Peter's former mentor, Tony Stark. What happened to Stark will have to be explained next week in the release of Avengers: Endgame, which should also account for how both Fury and Peter are alive and well following their demises in last year's Avengers: Infinity War.

Opening July 2, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal.
