Samuel L. Jackson is final negotiations for a key role in Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Deadline reports.
Based on the bestselling 2011 novel by Ransom Riggs, the Fox film tells the story of Jacob Portman, a teenager who, in the aftermath of a family tragedy, follows clues from his grandfather's past that lead him to derelict orphanage for "peculiar children." Asa Butterfield is set to star as Jacob, with Eva Green as Miss Peregrine.
Jackson would play Barron, a new character created for the film.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children opens May 4, 2016.
