Jurassic World: Dominion star Sam Neill says he's fairly certain that he'll return for Thor: Love and Thunder—if it can be safely worked out.

While promoting his upcoming film, Rams, Neill was asked by Entertainment Tonight about the chances of reprising his role as Faux-din, aka the actor playing Odin in Loki's Thor: Ragnarok play. "I think the odds are reasonably high," Neill said. "I think Taika's got something up his sleeve. We will see what happens. Travel between [New Zealand] and Australia is problematic at the moment, but we will see if something can be worked out."

In Thor: Ragnarok, Neill was one of many cameos in the film. He appeared as Odin in the dramatization of Loki's life that the God of Mischief put on (while disguised as Odin himself). In the play within the film, Chris Hemsworth's brother Luke played Thor, while Matt Damon appeared as Loki. Damon is rumored to also return in the next Thor film as he was recently spotted in Australia. It seems as if Neill, a New Zealander himself, is more than willing to return if it can be worked out in a safe way.

While the end of Ragnarok saw the destruction of the city and Avengers: Infinity War wiped out many of the remaining Asgardians, a number of them survived and founded New Asgard in Norway, as seen in Avengers: EndgameThor: Love and Thunder will explore Valkyrie's time as the new king of her people, so perhaps we'll see Neill's character and the other actors continuing to act out key moments in the Thor franchise.

Thor: Love and Thunder's story is unknown at the time, but it seems to be juggling quite a few plot elements. A number of the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear, as Thor was last seen aboard their ship. On top of their exploits and Valkyrie leading her people, Natalie Portman's Jane Foster will also be back, this time becoming the Goddess of Thunder. And if all that wasn't enough, Christian Bale will bring to life Gorr the God Butcher, a recent Thor villain from the comics who despises deities.
