By calling The Avengers Nick Fury's big movie, Samuel L. Jackson may have made some people (myself included) think that the rumored SHIELD movie was no more. But, according to Jackson, that's not necessarily the case.
During an interview with Radio Big Boy, Jackson said "The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big SHIELD [movie].
This isn't exactly the biggest news, as a SHIELD movie has been expected since Jackson signed a nine movie deal with Marvel Studios (Iron Man 2 is the first, and we know that he doesn't appear in Thor, so adding in The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers still leaves him with six movies to go), but it's the closest thing we've had to confirmation that it's real yet. Of course, Jackson may just be shooting his mouth off... I'll wait for Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to say yay or nay, I think.
