Samuel L. Jackson is only the third most foul-mouthed actor in movie history, something the Secret Invasion star took issue with.

While appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jackson was informed that he is third on a list of actors with the most on-screen curses of all time, right behind Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. "That's some bullshit!" Jackson jokingly responded. "No, no, no way! Jonah Hill and Leo? Really? I don't believe that. Somebody has miscounted." Jackson and host Jimmy Fallon went on to say that if it was just a list of who has said "the curse word, that one, the one" that Jackson would win. According to the list from Buzz Bingo, Hill clocked in at about 376 on-screen curses, with DiCaprio coming right behind with 361 and Jackson in third with 301 total on-screen swear words.

The list was originally published in 2020 and at the time named 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street, which starred both Hill and DiCaprio, as the film with the most curses in it overall. Following Jackson's third-place spot is Adam Sandler in fourth and Al Pacino in fifth. However, Jackson remains well-known for his cursing. In 2020, Jackson promised that if 2,500 people confirmed to him their voter registration status, he would teach them to swear in 15 different languages. He followed through on this promise, posting a video of himself explaining how to say "motherfucker" in languages like Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Swahili, Czech and Catalan, and more.

Despite being third on one list, Jackson is set to be awarded an honorary Oscar for his long-standing acting career at the 2022 Academy Awards. The veteran actor has been nominated for only one Oscar in his career, a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction in 1995. However, Jackson recently explained that an Oscar isn't the accomplishment many believe it to be. "[It] doesn't change your career trajectory that much," he said in a recent interview. "A lot of people have them and haven’t done much since."

Currently, Jackson is set to reprise his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Nick Fury in Disney+'s Secret Invasion series, but the actor also revealed that he will also appear as Fury in upcoming MCU films The Marvels and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. "When I was in London just now, it was [Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania], and [The Marvels] was happening, and we were getting ready to do [Secret Invasion]," said Jackson. "So it was like, three Marvel movies on one lot. I was kind of running around from place to place."

Secret Invasion will debut on Disney+ later in 2022.
