Sam Claflin Crowned As Prince In Snow White And The Huntsman

Sam Claflin, who just last month landed a role opposite Jeff Bridges in the fantasy The Last Apprentice, has been cast as the prince in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, Deadline reports.

He joins Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil queen in director Rupert Sanders’ retelling of the classic fairy tale, which has had a tough time finding its huntsman.

After Viggo Mortensen withdrew from negotiations, the studio moved on to Hugh Jackman -- he passed -- and now Thor star Chris Hemsworth (although it's unknown whether he's interested in the part).

The 24-year-old Claflin, who'll be seen later this month as the missionary Philip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, was previously best known for his role in the 2010 television adaptation of The Pillars of the Earth.
