What do you do if you're spectacularly wealthy and the love of your life dies? You could grieve and move on, of course, or you could fund an experimental time travel project to allow you to see them again. Guess which option is more likely to be turned into a movie.
Salt's Philip Noyce is in negotiations to direct Timeless, a movie about a man who chooses the time travel path mentioned above after his wife dies, determined to see her one last time and deal with all their unresolved issues. The script comes from Bill Kelly, who worked on the much-advertised Disney movie Tangled, and it's being shepherded through under Relativity Media's control. Maybe Noyce can flip genders on this project again, and bring in Angelina to star...? Worked last time.
