From the beginning, it was clear that Sakura had feelings for her future husband. On the other hand, Sasuke did not seem to care very much for Sakura. He barely seemed to acknowledge her existence sometimes. Her feelings mostly seemed to annoy him.
After Sasuke left the village, it looked like Sakura might end up choosing someone else. Despite everything that would happen, Sakura never gave up on Sasuke. In fact, Sasuke and Sakura would eventually end up getting married. Their relationship was complicated by the fact that Sasuke seemed completely uninterested in her and went a long period of time without even noticing her.
10 He Didn't Notice Her During Their School Days
Sasuke and Sakura went to school together for years. Sakura found Sasuke attractive and developed a crush on him. When she told her friends, she was shocked to find out that many other girls also liked Sasuke.
When Sakura heard a rumor that Sasuke liked girls with long hair, she grew her hair out. She would have done anything to get Sasuke's attention. In a flashback, it is revealed that he did not even know her name when they were young children.
9 She Tried To Talk To Sasuke After They Became Teammates
When Sakura was put on Team 7 with Sasuke, she thought it would be a good moment for them to get to know each other. Sakura got to speak for a short time to Naruto, when he was disguised as Sasuke.
She thought she was finally getting attention from the guy she loved. When she started criticizing Naruto's lack of parentage, she did not realize she was also criticizing Sasuke. He responded by saying some harsh words to her.
8 Her Actions During The Bell Test
Sasuke and Naruto both showed impressive skill during the bell test. Naruto rushed headfirst into a fight with Kakashi. Sasuke took time to form a plan and wait for an opening.
Sakura did not do much of anything. She was impressed to find out that Sasuke had almost managed to grab a bell singlehandedly. Sasuke had no reason to be impressed with her and did not even consider working with her, which was the point of the test, to begin with.
7 Her Impressive Chakra Control
When Team 7 leaves for the Land of Waves, they had no way of knowing the mission was more than they could handle. While in the Land of Waves, Kakashi begins to work with them on their Chakra control.
Kakashi has the trio try to climb a tree using their Chakra. Sakura manages to master the task faster than her teammates. Sasuke continues to struggle with the training exercise. Naruto turns to Sakura, asking for her advice, but Sasuke does not ask for her help.
6 She Took Care Of Him In The Hospital
When the group returned home from a mission, Sasuke is forced to get treatment in the hospital. Sakura stands by his side. When she notices he has not eaten anything, she makes a special trip to get him some apples.
She painstakingly peels and cuts up the fruit, yet Sasuke did not even acknowledge her presence. He was lost in thought until Naruto walked into the room. Sasuke knocked the apples out of Sakura's hands and demanded Naruto fight him.
5 She Confessed Her Love For Him
Eventually, Sasuke realized he would have to leave the village to become a greater shinobi. When he goes to leave the village, Sakura tries to convince him to stay. She confesses her love for him.
She says that if he cannot stay, she would be willing to go with him, and her words have an effect on him. Masashi Kishimoto has sighted this as the moment Sasuke realizes he loves her too, but her love was not enough to make him stay. He leaves her knocked out on a bench.
4 Her Reunion With Sasuke
Two years after Sasuke left the village, the reformed Team 7 manages to track him down. For the first time in years, Sasuke sees two of his best friends. He does not seem to have missed them very much.
He tries to kill his former friends. If Sakura had been looking forward to a heartwarming reunion, she would not get it that day. Sakura had likely spent a large chunk of that time missing him, but Sasuke does not give any indication that he missed her at all.
3 Sakura Tries To Stop Sasuke
Not long after Sasuke decides to turn his revenge against Konoha, Sakura runs into him. She notices immediately that something about him is different. She tries to stop him from killing Karin and offers to help him.
Sasuke then turns his murderous intent towards Sakura. Later when Sakura tries to kill him, she freezes. He responds by trying to kill her. He is completely uncaring towards her undying love for him. She failed to sway him when he had sunken down to his lowest.
2 Their Fight With Kaguya
Team 7 stood together when they took on Kaguya Otsutsuki. There were times during the fight that Sasuke and Sakura seemed to completely ignore each other.
Sakura noticed that Sasuke did not seem to care for her wellbeing at all. When she risked her life to stop Kaguya, he did not seem to be worried for her safety. Sakura was left to wonder if he had ever cared for her. She did her best to make him notice her strength, but he seemed completely unaffected.
1 Her Words Had No Effect On Him
There is a brief moment of peace after Kaguya is defeated. With Sasuke's plans about to be enacted, it was just the calm before the storm. Sasuke started by containing the tailed beasts.
Naruto rose to the occasion, trying to stop Sasuke from going too far. Sakura tries to reach Sasuke with her words; she confesses to him for the second time. He puts her under a genjutsu, knocking her out. Sasuke could not understand Sakura's feelings for him, her words could not stop him.
