In Sailor Moon, the characters battle different monsters and major bosses in each episode, often using special magical abilities. Each move set is based on the element that is associated with the Sailor Senshi’s individual planet.
As the series goes on, the Senshi level up to new transformations, and they also gain new abilities. Each of them has an ability that is their strongest, the one that seems almost unbeatable in battle or which is hard for their other skills to measure up against. But these abilities are not all created equal, with some of them being much more powerful than others.
15 Sailor Chibi Moon: Pink Sugar Heart Attack Can Inflict Discomfort On Enemies
Sailor Chibi Moon is not a fully-fledged member of the Sailor Senshi. She rarely participates in battle and, when she does, it’s usually in tandem with Sailor Moon, the two of them using their combined Moon Powers to defeat an enemy.
Pink Sugar Heart Attack is her strongest attack. But even as her strongest, it is only about as powerful as one of the other Sailor Senshi’s more standard attacks.
14 Sailor Jupiter: Jupiter Oak Evolution Sends Blasts Of Electric Energy At Enemies
This is Sailor Jupiter’s only attack that she is seen using as Super Sailor Jupiter. The attack involves her using the Leaves of Oak, a swirling column of leaves, and she imbues these leaves with lightning. The lightning-infused leaves are then shot at the enemy in an attack.
While this is a cool, and interesting, attack, as many of Sailor Jupiter’s attacks are, it doesn’t hold up against some of the other Senshi’s attacks.
13 Sailor Mars: Mars Flame Sniper Sends A Flaming Arrow At Enemies
Sailor Mars has abilities that are all to do with the element of fire, since fire is associated with the planet Mars. When she begins transforming into Super Sailor Mars using the Mars Crystal, she develops the ability to use Mars Flame Sniper.
The attack involves her using a bow to fire the Mars Arrow, a flaming projectile, at an enemy. It is her most devastating attack, but it doesn’t measure up to some of the attacks of the other Senshi.
12 Sailor Venus: Venus Love And Beauty Shock Blasts The Enemy With Light
Besides having one of the coolest names of any of the Senshi’s abilities, Venus Love and Beauty Shock is also one of the strongest abilities of the Inner Senshi. This makes sense since, for all intents and purposes, Sailor Venus is the leader of the Planetary Senshi.
This attack uses her Love Whip, which she uses to send light blasts at her enemy.
11 Sailor Moon: Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss Can Heal The Spirit And Bring It Out Of Darkness
Many of Sailor Moon’s later attacks are less about combat and are actually more about healing. It works from the context of the series, which posits that anybody can be redeemed of any wrongdoing with enough love, kindness, and understanding.
So often, after the other Senshi physically defeat a villain, Sailor Moon comes in to heal their spirit and bring them out of the darkness. The most powerful version of this is Eternal Sailor Moon’s Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss.
10 Sailor Mercury: Hyperspatial Sphere Generate Places The Senshi In A Pocket Dimension
Sailor Mercury’s attacks are primarily strategic. While she does have some direct offensive attacks, a lot of them, like Mercury Aqua Mist, are meant to be defensive and to give the Senshi a leg up in a fight by inhibiting their enemy.
Hyperspatial Sphere Generate is Sailor Mercury’s most powerful version of this kind of defensive attack. It is a shield she’s able to erect around the Senshi, and it’s implied that it actually exists in a pocket dimension. She’s even able to teleport the Senshi using this ability.
9 Sailor Star Fighter: Star Serious Laser Sends A Blast Of Energy Towards Enemy
Sailor Star Fighter is not seen using her Star Serious Laser technique very often in the series, and it is often used in conjunction with Sailor Star Maker’s Star Gentle Uterus.
While it is seen being incredibly effective against Sailor Aluminum Siren, one of Sailor Galaxia’s lackeys, it is not as powerful as some of the other attacks used by the other Sailor Senshi.
8 Sailor Neptune: Submarine Reflection
Sailor Neptune is a really unique Sailor Senshi. She is the only member of the Senshi to not have been awakened to her status as Sailor Neptune by someone else. Instead, her own powers of clairvoyance showed her the truth, and she then awakened Sailor Uranus as well. Her powers in this arena also help with her attacks. Submarine Reflection can actually be used two ways: to show an enemy’s weaknesses or to blast them with a wave of water.
7 Sailor Uranus: Space Sword Blaster Can Take Out Several Enemies At Once
The Outer Senshi are immediately shown to be much more powerful than the Inner Senshi when they’re introduced. One of the reasons why is because, as the first line of defense against attacks on the Moon Kingdom, they are given weapons with which to fight, which is different from the Inner Senshi.
Sailor Uranus, for example, has the Space Sword, which she uses in her attacks. Her Space Sword Blaster is powerful enough to take out several enemies at once.
6 Sailor Star Healer: Star Sensitive Inferno Can Be Fatal
As one of the Sailor Starlights, Sailor Star Healer has a unique role among the Sailor Senshi. They have a pretty minimal power set compared to the other Sailor Senshi, partially because they arrive so late in the series, and they don’t spend a lot of time in battle.
But their powers are pretty powerful. Sailor Star Healer’s Star Sensitive Inferno technique can be fatal, but like Sailor Star Maker, she doesn’t often use it to kill.
5 Sailor Star Maker: Star Gentle Uterus Sends Balls Of Light At Enemies
Despite this move’s slightly silly name, Star Gentle Uterus is a remarkably powerful attack. It involves Sailor Star Maker shooting lots of balls of light at her enemy.
It can apparently be fatal if used at its full power. But it’s never actually seen used at this level, with Sailor Star Maker mostly using it to weaken any enemy enough that Eternal Sailor Moon can heal them.
4 Sailor Saturn: Silence Glaive Surprise Could Destroy The World At Full Power
Sailor Saturn’s role as a Sailor Senshi is to be the Senshi of Rebirth, which essentially means that, once she has deemed a world beyond salvation, she destroys it, and herself, in order for it to be reborn.
She uses her Silence Glaive in order to do this. The Silence Glaive Surprise has never actually been seen at its full power, as its power is so strong that it could destroy the world, and definitely Sailor Saturn herself, if truly unleashed.
3 Sailor Pluto: Dark Dome Close Requires The Help Of Chronos
Solely from the perspective of just how much power is required in order to perform Dark Dome Close, it’s hard to imagine any of the other Sailor Senshi doing anything remotely as powerful. This is a space-time technique, and it requires Sailor Pluto to call on Chronos himself to ask him to supplement her power.
She can then use it to close a dimensional door, essentially shutting out an enemy from access into the world.
2 Sailor Galaxia: Dark Lightning Can Be Used When Possessed By Chaos
The Sailor Senshi face Sailor Galaxia as an evil force, since she has been taken over by Chaos. But she is also the most powerful of the Sailor Senshi. She has shown over and over that even her more basic moves are too much for even the strongest of the Senshi.
Her Dark Lightning, a technique she is able to use specifically while possessed by chaos, has proven very effective, and she can even use her sword to direct it.
1 Sailor Cosmos: Lambda Power Can Save The Universe If The Caster Is Willing To Sacrifice Everything They Love
Technically speaking, Sailor Cosmos and Sailor Moon are the same person, but they are presented as different characters in the series. And in a way, Eternal Sailor Moon also possesses Lambda Power, though it isn’t made as clear as with Sailor Cosmos.
The basic concept of the power is that she can save the entire universe, as long as she’s willing to first lose everything that’s important to her. It’s a sacrificial move that is without a doubt the most powerful in the series.
