When she's not saving the world from evil as Sailor Mars thanks to her powerful fire attacks or fulfilling her duties as a priestess at the temple, Rei is just another regular teenager who loves hanging out with her friends (and occasional bickering with them) and falls in love with pretty boys (remember all the Mamoru drama?).
Rei is portrayed as a hot-headed, commanding, and strong-willed woman. Because she was brought up with a lot of responsibilities, she is often seen as the adult of the group and is incredibly reliable. Her qualities make her a great role model. As for her fashion style, it ranges from casual to almost business-like and has a much more adult feel than the rest of the group which matches her personality. No matter what your age is, you might want to consider borrowing a few outfits from her!
9 The Iconic Overalls
We had to start off with one of Rei's most iconic outfits after her Sailor suit: the pink overalls.
For some reason, the middle image showing Rei standing in the streets in her pretty pink overalls, white tee-shirt, turquoise socks and what could be either slippers or crocs looking super annoyed is one of those images that will always come up if you search for Sailor Mars pictures online. It's a very casual and simple outfit but it's super flattering and, most importantly, super easy to put together. Overalls are truly the best.
8 Rocking those Crop tops

Rei might have worn some pretty elaborated outfits from time to time and totally pulled them off as we'll see later, but she can also rock some basic, super casual outfits like a simple crop top and a pair of good shorts or a miniskirt. One doesn't need 10 layers of clothes or fancy cuts and materials to look amazing and Rei has proven just that with a plain crop top and a pair of shorts that make the perfect everyday summer outfit!
7 The Art of Layering
Layering dresses on top of t-shirts or long sleeve tops was very trendy when Sailor Moon was coming out and all the characters showcased their own take on this fashion trend. Rei's take on this popular pairing fits both the peculiar 90s' color palette and her more mature personality. The pairing of a purple mini dress with a yellow mustard long sleeve is a surprisingly great combination that really suits Rei's long, dark hair. And look at that sneaky choker necklace! She even knows how to accessories!
6 It's all about comfort
A chunky, bright orange sweatshirt tucked in a high waisted taupe, baggy pair of shorts and a bulky white belt is seriously one of the best outfits Rei has worn. What's not to love about this outfit? It's both super casual and very well thought of. It may not look like much, but it's the kind of outfits that just make you feel good; after all, being comfortable and looking good is what everybody wants, right?
It's worth mentioning that they all look amazing in this picture and we would definitely steal every one of their outfits.
5 The Grown-up look
This outfit feels very grown-up for a teenager but somehow, it still works really well on Rei. It's nice to see that despite the many colors present in her outfit, two pieces always match which gives the whole outfit a sense of cohesion: in this case, Rei matched her shoes to her blazer and we love it! The combination of a high waisted and belted pencil skirt with a black top would have made a great outfit on its own but the addition of an oversized blazer makes the look so much more put together and serious.
4 Fierce and beautiful
As we've mentioned earlier, layering sleeveless dresses with long-sleeve tops was something we often saw in the 90s and the trend has even been making a come back for a few years now. Here is another time when Rei perfectly layered her clothes to create an outfit we would for sure wear today. As always, Rei wears darker and warmer colors, as opposed to Usagi who often wears pastel colors, which makes her dark hair look absolutely amazing. Seems like that's another outfit that deserved to be recreated!

The Grown-up Look #2 
Here's another one of Rei's more adult look that we would love to add to our own wardrobe. One thing that is admirable about Sailor Moon is that the character's wardrobes are believable and we often see pieces coming back from one episode to another, like this green blazer and red bag.
Although we love seeing our favorite characters showcasing new outfits, it can sometimes be frustrating that they never wear the thing twice. We love the little black dress and the statement belt that screams the 2000s!
2 Cropped Top and Low cut
Rei is a brave character who isn't afraid to go head first into action and put herself out there, which, once again, is shown in her fashion choices. This next outfit may be a little controversial if one takes into consideration that it's pretty revealing and that Rei is still a teenager, but putting that aside, we have to admit that this is definitely something we'd steal. Rei's color is 100% red, as you will see with the next outfit, and the combination of a red top with a white pair of jeans reminds us of a casual version of her Sailor outfit.
1 Little Red Dress
Honestly, who can say that red isn't Rei's color?
This dress is very simple and plain except for the bow on her chest, but the contrast of the dark red with Rei's dark/purple hair is amazing and it's no wonder her powers include fire. Rei is a passionate character who is incapable of doing things halfway: she either gives whole or nothing at all. This outfit is not very out there in terms of originality but it can make anyone feel like they absolutely need to own that dress.
