We tend to forget it, but Aino Minako first started off as a solo warrior named Sailor V after meeting Artemis and getting her powers. She did her best to protect the innocent on her own until she finally remembered her past and joined the rest of the Sailor Guardians in their mission to protect the Moon princess.

Minako and Usagi have a very similar personality: both are academic underachievers, clumsy, and silly. Although she is often very goofy, Minako proved herself to be a reliable friend and strong and brave Sailor Senshi.  Her clothing style is very eclectic and she can at turns wear cute and girlish outfits, but also more adult and intricate ones.

10 Elegant Summer Dress

Minako has a very sweet and lovable personality although she can sometimes be a little immature. This first outfit is a very simple one but it suits her so well that it had to be added to the list of outfit we'd totally steal for Minako. She's wearing a plain pastel green summer dress with white ballerina shoes. Her long hair adorned with a simple red bow give a very "Little House on the Prairie" look that we can easily adopt this summer. Simple but cute, what's not to love?

9 Unintentional Rei Cosplay

This next outfit is a great everyday look but it has one little issue. The outfit itself is great and totally something we'd wear today. We love the pairing of a turtleneck dress with a light coat and thick tights: perfect cozy and stylish outfit for the wintertime, but it's hard not to think of Rei when seeing a red dress.

It's a given that Rei's go-to color is red, which makes a lot of sense since her powers are fire-based and she's the Guardian of planet Mars, but it makes it hard for other characters to pull it off!

8 Layers, Layers, Layers

There's a lot to love about this outfit, starting with that amazing, oversized denim jacket! Hard to go wrong with such a versatile piece. Here's something that's hard to understand about fashion in anime: Minako is wearing at least three layers on her upper body and all seem to be pretty warm and she's also wearing a scarf. All in all, this seems like a pretty winter-appropriate attire, except she's also wearing a pair of shorts, with no tights. Go figure that one out.

7 Shades Of Orange

This next outfit is a more socially appropriate version of an outfit we'd be caught wearing at home on the weekend. It's a very casual, colorful look but it works super well with Minako's long blond hair and innocent look. We can once again appreciate the subtle art of layering that gives this look a unique dimension that reminds us a lot of the 60s', hippie fashion, The color-combination is very 60s. Comfy and stylish outfit? Sounds like something worth stealing!

6 Dress Or Apron?

We've seen it before,  Minako has some really great summer dresses and this one can definitely be added to the list. This dress reminds us a lot of the blue, checkered dress worn by Usagi.  This in itself is great and is the perfect summer dress.

What makes this outfit truly awesome is the pairing of the two pastel colors. Against all odds, mint green and lavender work great together and we know that layering a sleeveless dress on top of a t-shirt or a long sleeve top is always a good combo!

5 The Colors Of The Rainbow

The characters of Sailor Moon sure love to wear colorful outfits and Minako is, of course, no expectation. This outfit is one of those we see multiple times throughout the show, as you'll see later. In this first version, Minako wears an awesome burgundy jacket that would be a great piece to have in your wardrobe. The color combination is surprising but the result is great. Minako looks like a cute little bowl of fruits and what's not to love about that?

4 All The Pastel Colors

Talking about fruits, can we all agree that the above outfit is an unintentional (or is it?) watermelon cosplay? The pastel colors give this outfit a super fresh, light and fun look that we'd love to steal. The killer detail is the layering of two t-shirts, a pink one on top of a white one, that instantly takes this outfit from your regular "t-shirt and skirt" to "super cool and super original". Add to that a statement necklace and you have yourself a go-to summer outfit.

3 Mario Overalls

Overalls are probably the best piece of clothing one can own because a) they're super cute and b) what's more comfortable than a cool, baggy pair of overalls? Everybody loves them even if they make going to the bathroom a bit of an adventure.

We've seen Rei rock a pair of awesome pink overalls and now it's time for Minako to show off her own take on that outfit. We love the shorter leg length and the marked waist! But what makes this outfit stand out is definitely the fancy shoes!

2 The Return Of The Rainbow

Well, we all knew this outfit would make a come back at some point! Once again, we have a classic "same outfit, different colors" situation and we're not even mad about it because this outfit is so cool it deserves to be featured multiple times. The colors on this second version remind us a lot of Sailor Venus's outfit and we love that Minako also wears those colors in her day-to-day life! The turquoise jacket and lavender skirt also need a shoutout! Minako sure knows how to make pastel look good!

1 Shirt And Dress

This last outfit is less high in colors than Minako's usual outfits but it's truly original and deserved some recognition. The pairing of a button-down shirt with a sleeveless dress works perfectly and the color combination, though surprising, is really pretty. A simple waist belt tied the whole look together! What's truly awesome about this outfit is that all those pieces work great together but are also super versatile. Want a more casual look? Just swap out the button-down for a t-shirt and there you go!
