"Saga" has been one of the most acclaimed series in Image's impressive stable since its debut and the publisher is touting the 25¢ issue #43 as the perfect jumping on point for new readers. The multiple Eisner Award winning series follows two literally star-crossed lovers from warring alien races, Alana and Marko, as they flee the authorities and a cadre of intergalactic bounty hunters all while struggling to raise their young daughter Hazel. According to Image, "Saga" #43 will feature Hazel and her parents embarking on a new high-stakes adventure in the westernmost part of the universe.

“I am so proud of this issue, and excited for our craziest storyline yet! Fiona and I wanted to thank our incredible readers for five years of loyalty with this special $0.25 issue, but we also hoped to encourage anyone who hasn’t yet read SAGA to finally dip their toes in our water (eww)," Vaughn said. "So if you have 'mature' friends or loved ones you think might be weird enough to enjoy our series, why not pick up a few extra copies to share with them?”

In addition to the 25¢ issue, limited quantities of a commemorative Image 25th anniversary print featuring exclusive and all-new "Saga" artwork by co-creator Fiona Staples will also be available.
