R.L. Stine's Fear Street is heading to theaters theaters as a trilogy of upcoming films, and the 20th Century Fox franchise has added its next star.

Sadie Sink, who broke out as Max Mayfield  on Netflix's Stranger Things, has signed on to appear in the second of the upcoming Fear Street movies, according to Deadline. Previously, Fox signed Kiana Maderia (Really Me) and Olivia Welch (Modern Family) to star in the first movie.

While R.L. Stine remains best known for his Goosebumps book series, which spawned two fairly recent movies of its own, the horror author also found success with his Fear Street series. Those novels have sold over 80 million copies since they began in 1989.

The series is named after the Fear family, who were cursed originally during the Salem Witch Trials, and takes place in the fictional town of Shadyside, where teens find themselves involved in various supernatural occurrences.

As the Hollywood Reporter notes, The Fear Street trilogy is set to be directed by Leigh Janiak (Scream: The TV Series). The first movie is set for a release in 2020.

Directed by Leigh Janiak, Fear Street stars Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Fred Hechinger, Julia Rehwald, Jeremy Ford, and Sadie Sink. Based on the novels by R.L. Stine, the first movie hits theaters in 2020.
